Springboard Academy Launches Solopreneur Institute
Seattle, WA, June 14, 2012 –(PR.com)– The Springboard Academy, a Seattle-based professional development company today announced its newest division aimed at entrepreneurs. The Solopreneur Institute is a program for people who want to start their own business, and leads them through the process of developing a plan for their own business.
“So many people dream of starting their own company and being their own boss, but they don’t know where to start,” said Tom Eckmann, Springboard Academy Chairman, and Solopreneur Institute Director. “We’ve developed a process that helps people determine if they’re cut out for the solopreneur lifestyle. If they are, we take them through step-by-step classes to make their new business successful.”
The Solopreneur Institute includes the following programs:
· Launch – a 3-session (3 hours each) course to determine if solopreneurship is a good fit for potential owners
· Bootcamp – an intensive 12-week course that takes solopreneurs step-by-step through the process of developing a plan for their business
· Incubator – a program helps people get their business started by providing business support, access to SI faculty, and a peer group of fellow solopreneurs
Leading experts with deep start-up experience teach the weekly classes with 15-20 students. Eckmann is an experienced entrepreneur who lectures at the University of Washington Foster School of Business, and has taught classes in solopreneurship for the Small Business Administration.
Signups are already underway for the 3-session Launch pilot program, beginning on July 12th, 2012. This class meets once a week for three hours. This program costs $345, and includes all three classes, books and course materials. Classes are held in South Seattle at the Pacific Market Center, 6100 4th Ave. South, with free parking available.
